About Us

Our Philosophy

Compassionate care isn't just our name, it is our practice.  In order to provide your pet with the best veterinary care, we have to be able to earn your trust.  Good communication is vital to being able to formulate a treatment or wellness plan for your pet. We will always try to provide up to date education handouts, treatment plans, and alternative therapies whenever possible in order to help you, help your companion pet.

We also believe that we are part of the communtity, and to that end, work closely with local shelters and rescue organizations to try and help abandonned animals find loving, life long homes.  The clinic offers a discount to anyone who adopts a pet from a rescue organization or shelter for 6 months after the adoption, and has a feral cat program to help people that are dealing with an overpopulation of stray cats.  We work closely with Doberman Rescue Unlimited, East Coast Italian Greyhound Rescue Organization, Out of the Pits and into the Ritz pitbull rescue, All American Dachshund rescue, the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary and the Lincoln and Cumberland Animal Shelters.

Our Hospital

The Compassionate Care Veterinary Clinic opened in January of 2008 in order to provide an urgent medical care facility for the north-east section of Rhode Island and south-west Massachusetts.  In the last year, we have expanded our services to promote long term care for chronic illness, hospice care, and care of small mammals.

Our goal for the next three years, is to have 4-5 doctors on staff, providing full service care from 7 am to midnight during the week, and from 8 - 6 pm on weekends, and incorporate a full time internal medicine specialist into our staff.  Our services will expand in accordance with our patients' needs, so if there is some way we can better help you to care for your pet's, please feel free to contact us anytime.
