The Compassionate Care Veterinary Clinic endeavors to provide the best patient and customer care for your pet and family. We aim to treat each individual professionally, respectfully, and each patient with patience and compassion.
In return, we expect that our staff are also treated respectfully. The clinic reserves the right to revoke discounts to any family that repeatedly fails to show for appointments, is delinquent on their account, or is repeatedly and unnecessarily rude to any employee. We also ask that any client that cancels for or fails to show for a scheduled surgery, leave a deposit in order to reschedule Surgery.
Discounts Please note that in order to receive any discounts, your pet must be an established (seen here once) client, and must be up to date on all vaccines.
Military (must be ACTIVE) - 10% Multi Pet – 10% (Must have 3 ACTIVE pets here at the clinic to receive the discount and they must be up to date.) Rescued Pet – 20% (Pet Must come from a RI shelter) and is good for 6 months only. Senior Citizen Discount – 10% (62 years)
Pricing Annual/Wellness exam - $66.00 Problem / Sick exam - $90 Urgent Care/Walk in - $150 2nd Opinion/Consultation - $150 Follow up exam - $44 Technician Visit - $22 Emergency Care* - $180 (Emergency patients that cannot wait to be seen such as trouble breathing, seizures, hit by car, etc will be seen before regularly scheduled appointments.) *A stabilization estimate will be given upon arrival and could range from $300-$500 depending on your pet's needs.
**Please note that payment MUST be made at time of visit. We do not do billing** **All pricing above is to see the doctor and a full examination, this does not include the cost of any medications/treatment that may be needed**
Surgery Information -Pets will be dropped off between 7:15 am and 8:30am. We will call you the day before your appointment and will give you a more specific time. -No food after midnight (Exception is only for small mammals) -Water is fine up until drop off -If you are dropping off a dog, please take your dog for a walk to potty before bringing them in. -We require a deposit at time of drop off. Your doctor/technician will inform you of deposit amount at time of surgery scheduling. -Generally we have pet parents pick up pets between 4-6pm. Please note this is an estimated time. Your doctor will call you after your pet’s surgery and will give you a better idea on what time you can pick up your pet. -If you are worried about your pet the day of surgery, you are more than welcome to call and check on them. -If you are dropping off your pet with a blanket or a toy – please make sure that you put your pets name on it. **Payment MUST be made at time of pickup. We do not do billing**
*Please note, if you fail to show or cancel a surgical appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice, we will require a nonrefundable $200 deposit towards the procedure’s cost in order to schedule the procedure.
Technician Visits Pet's must be up to date on Rabies vaccines and had been seen by one of our Veterinarian's within the past 3 months for a healthy visit. There is a $22 charge for a technician appointment, plus the cost of treatment provided. Appointments with technicians are available only during the week due to limited staff on the weekends.
Technicians can provide the following for your pet: -Nail Trims -Vaccine's (not Rabies)* -Blood draws (only when a veterinarian has approved) -Tick removal -Fluid/ medication administration or application
*Please note if your pet is a difficult to manage/handle, we reserve the to decline a technician appointment for your pet our staff's safety. Our technicians are trained to do safe restraint with or without muzzles and will do so unless the pet will cause injury to anyone including themselves.
There are times, when we cannot perform technician visits, but we do try to do them for you whenever possible. Technician visits cannot be done if your pet has not been seen within 3 months for a wellness visit. *If you have a younger pet (under 20 weeks of age, 4 months) and getting a vaccine booster, it will be as a Dr. appointment. Only the doctor’s have the discretion to make an exception.
